The Finance Department plays an important role in partnering with the rest of the business to enable Ofcom to achieve its goals.  We have a finite budget, so ensuring we deliver value for money is critically important.


As a Finance Graduate, you will have an opportunity to develop a broad range of both technical and behavioural skills – it’s much more than just accounting.  You will rotate through each of the four teams within the Finance Department – Business Services, Business Planning & Reporting, Risk and Commercial – gaining hands on experience to ensure that you develop the knowledge and skills required to support your future career.  There will be a variety of day to day and project work covering areas such as management accounting, financial accounting, budgets, business cases, management reporting, payroll, pensions, procurement, risk management and internal audit.


Your work programme will be closely aligned with the experience required to help you to obtain a recognised finance qualification.  Ofcom also offers a breadth of study options to allow you to become familiar with Ofcom’s work and to develop the technical and soft skills you’ll need in the future.  The position is a two-year fixed term contract, during which we will provide study support for an appropriate finance qualification.
